The Love Letter

When I titled this blog post The Love Letter, depending on which generation you were born in or are currently living in, a love letter may mean different things. In the World War eras, Vietnam or Korea, many wrote letters home to their loved ones since social media did not yet exist. I look at writing letters almost as an art form. It addresses the love of one person for another, it shares experiences and forms an intimate connection.

It is the same thing with God. Out of a single love letter He presented us His love in the form of Christ. Upon the life of Christ, God wrote things about Himself and allowed us to know a little bit about Him: His nature, His beliefs, His experiences, how He felt about the world or mankind itself.

When we read the Bible, the Word of God’s power, we are reading an extended version of that love letter initially given and we see a glimpse of the character and the nature of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. While I was waking up this morning, the following words flowed for those who would read this post.

I hear you worrying in your thoughts about how to fix a certain problem.
I hear you whisper out loud “I can’t do this anymore.” I hear your heart beat erratically when you are frightened. I hear the longing in your heart to love and be loved.

I hear the frustration when nothing goes as planned. I see the hunger in your eyes for something better than where you are. I see the chaos that surrounds your life when you try to control every nuance of it. I see the manipulation to hold on to friendships or relationships that you are afraid to lose. Through it all, I’m here.

I’m waiting for you to acknowledge Me and to call out to Me. I am the answer you’ve been searching for. I am the strength that carries you each day. I am the stabilizing force when your life is yielded to My presence. I am the source and the life of a love that is true and faithful. I will never leave you to face anything alone. I am with you always. I am the peace you need to discover the answers that await you. Peace be still.

For when you seek me, you will find Me. When you knock, the door will be opened to you. When you find Me, you will find the joy I bring with Me. In that instant you will know that I am faithful to you. Even if you find yourself straying from my attention, I will right your course.

My hand is extended, the love and motives of my heart are pure. My heart is open to love you, to receive you as my precious sons and daughters, my holy ones. Look to My Son, He is the One who brings life.

Though Him you are brought back into relationship with Me. Through the Word of power your life will be transformed. Let me love you. Let me give you peace and fill you with the joy of knowing you are one with Me. Let me fill your heart with the certainty that I do have a plan for your life. You are not without purpose. Let go of the fear that man brings and the pressure to live or “be” a certain way.

Take courage! I will stay by your side as we tackle the day-to-day issues you face. I am with you always!

All I ask is that you accept Me and my forgiveness, then surrender your hardships. Surrender your fear, insecurities, your lack, the hurts and pain you have been carrying on your own. I will then fill you with My love which drives away the fear, My peace will calm every storm that threatens to overflow your thoughts. When you allow yourself to believe that I am your provision, you won’t fear lack but instead you will look to Me, then provision is made.

I will transform your life if you give Me the opportunity. Call out to Me in your imperfections and in your raw and real state right now. I am ready to listen, and I hear your heart’s cry.

To those reading the post I pray you would surrender all the cares you’ve been carrying on your own and come to trust God and the sacrifice Jesus made for you:

Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV) says “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. And in verse 13, “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

My prayer for you is also that you would come to recognize The Love Letter that was sent to you and the love of God and His presence would become real. I pray that the experiences you’ve had that caused you to grow weary or have caused you to believe that life isn’t worth living, would be replaced by the understanding that you are loved by God and He has extended His grace to all of us.
